The genesis of this website came about in the spring of 2012 when a friend of mine, for whom I hold much admiration, recommended I purchase a domain and employ it as an outlet for my perspectives and experiences. Knowing I enjoyed writing, he posited the site could serve primarily as a personal thought bank but hosting it publicly offered the benefit of making oneself vulnerable, which we both agreed was a unique sort of thrill and a virtue in itself. 

Many years on, this is the approach I've taken - witness a product of both passion and procrastination, and prompted by some concurrent inner grumblings which I expand on here.
